Hermit's cave - 20

E-mail Print PDF

Descending along the mooring buoy chain you reach a depth of -18 metres full of large boulders which it is worth exploring. At a depth of -20 metres we find 2 enormous boulders which form a passage which we go through, the walls are covered with Leptosammia pruvoti, false coral (Myriapora truncata), sponges and often large examples of sea slugs can be seen. Continuing at this level which is rich in posidonia we will find various specimens of fan mussels (Pinna Nobilis) about 60 centimetres high: if we take care to not touch them, so that their valves don't close, inside them we can see small crabs and shrimp.
