Raviolo or targa Gonzatti - 45

E-mail Print PDF

This is the only site in the national park with two mooring buoys. Descending along the Targa Gonzatti chain down to –20 metres the bottom is covered with posidonia. If we're lucky, we may come across a sea horse, anchored to the fronds of posidonia. Keeping the face on our left, passing the plateau it goes down to –30 metres, here we will see red sea-fans (Paramuricea calavata) and spiny lobsters, at a depth of -36 metres we find the entrance to a grotto, inside we find spiny lobsters, congers, and martens, the way out is at –30 metres. Continuing the ascent, on the rocks to the right of the grotto, we can admire sponges, false coral, (Myriapora truncata) and sea daisies (Parazoanthus). We are rising towards the plateau which is worth exploring calmly because there are a great deal of ravines which are home to very many groupers.
